Behind the Photos: December

“Can you do more? Please, I am asking”, begged a local pastor. This group of church leaders from throughout Southern India came together to be trained and discipled through a local ministry. They also attended a training where we taught them new ways to teach the children about the Gospel. This local pastor came to us after the training and said that before we came, they didn't believe that there was much value in teaching the Bible to the children. Once he saw that the children were going out and telling their families and friends about the stories they had learned, he begged us to do more training! We taught the leaders about different learning styles and ways of teaching - such as storytelling using puppets and simple costumes and props. Their gratefulness was evident in their smiles and laughter as they broke into teams and practice sharing different Bible stories to practice what they had been taught! They even put together this display to say “Thank You!”. Do you teach a small group or Sunday school? Those skills can be used short term on trips like these.
