Behind the Photos: January

The hum of the people gathered was tangible. There was excitement for the needs being met, but deeper than that was a spiritual hunger and the feeling of God about to move. That afternoon in Indonesia, the outreach was underway. The local community was ecstatic as we handed out bags of food and clothing items to those in need. The arena was packed with thousands of people from every walk of life, including a local Koranic children's boarding school. These children filled the front rows with attentive eyes and beautiful smiles as they, along with the others, heard the message of God's love and salvation. The expressions on their faces were changing our hearts as we watched God change theirs. As a special little girl caught my eye, her eyes roamed from the stage and met mine. She saw the camera and her eyes glittered, her smile from receiving the gospel got even bigger. Then a picture was snapped that forever captured that moment when thousands of Muslims heard and received. This is January’s story.
